System Specs

i have nvidia

but i think the radeon 8500 would be better choice out of those.because gf4mx 440 came with this system and was not a brilliant performer for games.(thats if they interest you)

if not games you want it for then it dont make too much difference.but bear in mind that if you went for a nvidia then you won't have any hastle changing drivers etc.

Yah..go for the Radeon
You already had a GF2, why buy another GF4mx = souped up GF2+some dx8capability
GF2=NV15 GF4MX=NV17

cant u wait a little longer? dont know, maybe for a 9200pro or 9500np

u cannot consider GF4mx since the difference between GF2 and GF4mx is not that great ^^ specially the SE ones

The 8500 will be a nice upgrade but i cant help but think the 600mhz p3 will stop you playing the latest games at medium performance/quality.

For example the min recommended specs for UT2003 are 733Mhz and CNC:Generals is 800mhz...

Time to start saving...even if you can get a cheap celeron 1.8 or something and a new mobo that takes SD ram + ddr it would really help. And that way you can keep the SD ram and upgrade to DDR later without needing another new mobo.

I've been trying to dump a Built By ATi AIW 8500 DV w/ all the goodies included... about 2 months old... probably about 100$ personal message if interested. I just upgraded to a 9700.
