I did some small overclocking this am, testing out the TwinX ram and got to 15718 with my rig ..Thought what the heck let's oc the card and mebbe hit 16k. Gave powerstrip a go set it at 330/330 I used to use radeonator and was able to hit 350/350...What a mistake thought I fried the card Kept hanging; rebooting loading windows after I removed powerstrip, the drivers in safe mode. Even after reinstalling the drivers, trying system restore nadda all attempts resulted in windows reporting a serious error identified as hardware failure 9700 pro (in safe mode)

Out of desperation I took my other card got into windows and headed over to Omega's corner downloaded the flash utility and both the 8003 and 8004 bios. reflashing the 8004 failed to resolve the issues however.
So I flashed the 8003 then flashed the 8004 again and so far I've been able to complete both 3-D marks as well as play over an hour of UT2K3 at various resolutions... Guess I got quite lucky in not permanently damaging my card

Thought I'd post this incase someone else repeats my foolishness just might save'em a whole lot of headaches and a fingercrossed rma attempt lol
