EEK! DX11 with a 4870X2

Hello everyone, i was wondering if it's possible to get DirectX 11 usage with my 4870X2, i've tried the DX11 for Vista hack but my system (Vista x64) still reports DX10.1.

Re: DX11 with a 4870X2

The 4870 card is a Direct X 10.1 card.. Thats why DXDiag still reports it as it says.

DX11 is backward compatible,Even if you install it under Vista that won't change anything. The card you have installed will still run using the Dx10.1.

If you want full use of DX 11 the only solution to that is to buy a DX11 compatible GFX card. And that is where the 5XXX series comes in..
