I recently received a new graphics/tv tuner card from a friend. I believe it is ATI, but I am not sure about anything else.
Here is a screenshot of GPU-z's details about the card ![]() here is a view of the card itself ![]() and this is a picture of where you attach the other devices to it ![]() ![]() I need to know the name of the card, and how to hook it up to what. I know the coax is a TV tuner because it says "CATV" under it, and I think the puple circle thing is an S-Video port. I have no idea as to what the white square is called. The S/N of the card ( at least i think its the S/N) is DS/N CN-0N1707-32881-3BD-40U5 |

Re: Can't identify new card?
Its an ATI wonder card of some description and I think you need the ATI breakout box to hook it up to a monitor. EDIT: this:

Re: Can't identify new card?
lol GPU Z doesn't have a clue wtf that thing is....
4gb video card made in 2002 based on the M9 gpu.. lol Yes, that looks nearly identical to that of the Radeon All in Wonder card..... probabably the Radeon all in wonder 9000 series?

i used Unknown Device Identifyer to try and see what it could see about it, and it was identified as a Mobile Radeon 9000. I thought those were used only in laptops? |

Re: Can't identify new card?
But this card is AGP, so why is it recognised as a laptop card? I installed the Catalyst software, but nothing happened....

Re: Can't identify new card?

Re: Can't identify new card?
What Catalyst versions(s) have you tried?
I think I'd try something the 7.11 without modding it first. I've been doing a LOT of searching around and can't find ANY AIW card that looks like that. Maybe Catalyst Catcher will see this and help out. Or, maybe you could PM him. If ANYONE could identify it, he could. Also, what other identifying numbers are on it? Better, in focus picture(s), closeups if possible, would help too.

Re: Can't identify new card?
if it's a 9000 series... he'd have to download the 6.11 catalyst drives.... or 6.5 or older..... if the 6.11's don't work.
The mobility modder is the tool used to install mobility gpu drivers.. It's a driverheaven tool, you can click on tools at the top of the DH webpage and then click ATI mobility modder and follow the directions....

Re: Can't identify new card?
I have tried the Mobility Modder 8.11, 8.12, and 9.5. Also tried the original drivers b4 modding them. No one worked. I will try to PM Catalyst Catcher and ask for his help, but first I will try the 6.x of the Catalyst software.
The S/N is the only other identifiable info I have atm, I will take the card out as soon as I can and copy down all the numbers on it. |

Re: Can't identify new card?
You must use a 6.11 or 6.5 or older driver..... there is no support for that card in anything newer

Re: Can't identify new card?
Wow that is bizzare. I am still left wondering why in the world this thing is outfitted with a mobility 9000 series chip if that, in fact, is the case.

Re: Can't identify new card?
I removed the card, but I don't have my digital camera, so I can only read the numbers. I'm hoping to get my camera back later today.

Re: Can't identify new card?
well damn it i had to register just to post this reply. I went thru holy heck n back to ID that !@#$%^&* card. I had gotten it to work w/ radeon 8500 dv drivers but it quit working after a few weeks. The good thing about that INCORRECT driver set was it enabled extended desktop to the TV, and i was able to watch separate videos on each monitor, so there ARE two heads to the card. The DOWNSIDE is the real card is this: Documentation (like the drawings of your pic?) - the driver package is an executable R66845 - downloadable from Dell - its an All in Wonder 9000 low profile card - and it wuz made specifically for Dell. In doing so they disabled the extended desktop feature and the damn thing only clones....the ATI control panel works perfectly - but going to display properties and settings only shows the single monitor output.... best of luck and i hope this helps others....
