Hi,
when I first bought my laptop, a Compaq Presario R4100 with the X200 chipset, it was displaying as X600. Over the years, I had to reinstall my OS lots of times, currently I`m running Win XP SP2, and ofcourse, currently using different drivers than 3 years ago. But i`ve just noticed, my graphics card does not display as X600 anymore if i click Properties on the desktop, it is displaying as X200 and I do not recall modding anything on my laptop. What`s the catch, what am I missing? I`d like to make it to display as X600 again, altough I know its just X200, but for the heck of it.
Any help, please?

this would have no practical application.. it doesn't give you any other features or benefits..

if indeed it is a x200 and it was improperly identified as a x600

Aside from manually modifying a number of things in the INF file, it's not adviseable.
