Anyone Heard of a 4870X2 in a Dell Dim E521?

I recently had some work done to my computer. A Dell Dimensions E521. I know it sucks, but had no idea when i bought it. Anyways just having some issue with my new card. Diamond Radeon 4870X2 is what i recently put in there. Was a pain the butt. Having a heating issue ive heard i need to turn my fan up but not exactly sure how...

Greetings!

First of all, please keep your help requests in the same thread. No need to have to go bouncing around the forums for the same issue/s that you need help with.

(Help) Problems with my new Diamond 4870X2

Second, just what all is in your system? OS? Updated? RAM? Type, Amount, Settings?, PSU Brand, Wattage, Amperages on 12V rail?, etc? We need a full rundown on the system specs before taking a stab at providing any educated help.

Third, taking a quick look at the online specs for that PC, it would actually seem that the previous video card was a better 'fit' than the newer one. That is due to the CPU and RAM configuration. Those components are the 'bottleneck' on this system and prevent the video card from performing at its best.

But, this is just a hunch until you've provided full details on your system.
