External 22'' Display

Hey i Have a Toshiba Laptop with HD 2600 ATI

I bought an external 22 monitor so i would have a better resolution.
but i found out ATI original drivers for my GPU didn't let me user more the 1024 on the external Monitor.

So i looked up in the internet and found the ATI Modder here.
and i installed it and now the GPU lets me go up to 1600x1200
but that is not my native resolution for the screen.

the native screen Resolution is 1650x1080.
Can anyone know what is the problem?

Please help

Not sure then, if it doesn't support more than 1600x1200 it looks like you're out of luck. If you need widescreen, does it support 1440x900 or 1280x800 instead? Not ideal, but it might work.

Add 1650 x 1050 by modifying the INF file of the drivers before installing.

Load the inf in notepad look for the correct HKR,, DALNonStandardModesBCD1, % bit of the inf file relating to your card and then add 16,50,10,50,00,00,00,00 in place of one of the other resolutions and save it and reinstall the drivers.

Shouldn't it be 1680 x 1050? At least that's the native resolution of my Samsung.
