Two different graphic cards?

First of all I am a newbie and I'm not that bright. Secondly, My mobo is an Asus with a AGP graphics card (Sapphire HD 3850) and it works great with the two monitors that I have. The problem is that I wanted to add a third monitor because I illustrate and animate. A third would be perfect for what I like to do. I don't do much gaming.
I only have a regular PCI slot for a second graphics card so I bought an HD 2400 even though I know that it's not in the same series as the 3850 but I don't think ati radeon makes pci cards that use the same driver.
Upgrading to a new mobo isn't an option right now. Is there a way to use both cards. Again I don't need it for gaming just some adobe programs and animation software.
Also, I saw on a nvidia forum that someone made a beta driver that had the majority of there different cards on one driver. Does anyone know of anything like that for my ati radeons? And if not can anyone help me out in another way. Thanks

Again, I'm not that bright so any help would be appreciated
