radeon hd3650 and it's overclocking
hi...one of my first threads here :P
been here a while but just as an observer...
so here's the thing...i've recently bought new pc..must say that i'm more that happy with asus maximus formula but i still need to buy new cpu and new radeons (2 to be precise)...but now...
i've got sapphire radeon hd3650 256mb (gddr3). i've already mounted zalman cooler vf900-cu, and i wanted to oc it a bit..well, more than a bit actually
i'm running on vista ultimate 64bit, now with catalyst 8.3. i've tried to overclock wit att at first, but it couldn't load low level driver (or something like it), and every solutions that i found on google was without any progress. same thing happened with rivatuner 2.07b.
i can overclok only in ati's ccc, but i can overclock only to 750/825 from default frequencies 725/800 (gpu/ram), and then there's the end of slider's area.
please help
and the proof
p.s.: sry for my broken english

you "may" have to wait a little while for the tools to become more capable with the recent HD34xx/36xx .....
but damn nice overclocks!

tried that beta version of att...but i've got classic problem with att on 64bit vista (when it says that low level driver can't be installed). i've tried all possible ways to make windows ignore that driver (according to guru3d forum) without any luck...i've gave up on att by now
i guess i'll have to wait till next update of att or rivatuner

For x64 windows you need signed drivers and ATT or RivaTuner aren't getting signed...

I'm meaning that ATi Tray Tools or RivaTurner's drivers aren't signed and they aren't going to get signed.

There is a solution/workaround in the ATT FAQ, but I guess that's what you meant with "according to guru3d forum", right?

i did it!! :)
well..i've managed to do "a bit od overclocking"
this time i've used good old fashion way -> bios editing
i'm just posting some results...
so, if you don't wanna read previous posts...
default clocks are 725MHz (GPU) / 800MHz (RAM)
new clocks are 920MHz / 910MHz
TechPowerUP GPU-Z validation
3dMark06 result (5313) - before this oc (4383)
yeah, i know that i didn't managed to lower some ferquencies for 2d mode, but cuz i'm not so sure which one to lower, i kinda decided to keep em, since i didn't actually pass 40°C while benchmarking...
