HD3870 & (Dark and Light) all HD cards it seems
getting vary bad video in this game with all kinds of blocks and grafix distortions unplayable game will crash after a few steps in game.
with the old 7.10 or older drivers on my old X1800 pro it look sweet. like in the youtube videos.
YouTube - Free MMORPG Dragon ride Dark and Light.
i be uploading what the HD3870 looks like soon. hoping someone has a fix for it. thanks and i can not use the older 7.10 drivers on the HD cards. only the 7.11 and they do not work.
so again anyone with any help on Open GL or Dark and light please help.
Dark and Light is now 100% free to play to max level and no restritions.
so if you want to see if you can help fix the problems give it a try at

Greetings and welcome to DriverHeaven!
I don't have this card to test out any of the options/drivers on, so, I really can't offer advice based on personal experience. However, one of our members posted a 'fix' for problems that might be of help to you. Check out this thread:
HD 24/2600 AGP users here is the fix to use any driver set
If it helps, please let us know.
Good luck!

The YouTube video makes this look like the card is overheating. Have you checked the temps on the card during gameplay?
What is the +12V AMP rating on your PSU?

Hi to all.
To solve OpenGL issue, I suggest to try SciTech GLDirect 5.0, it works perfectly with my HD3870 and Catalyst 8.1. Once installed, make sure to select "SciTech GLDirect OpenGL Non-Shader Driver".
SciTech Software, Inc - Better Ideas, Open Solutions.
It is a OpenGL to DirectX8 wrapper
Bye
