??? x1300 pro running hot

I have an ATI x1300 pro agp. It seems to be always running between 65 and 67 degrees celcius, can't get it to run any cooler than that. This is also without any load on the card, just sitting at the desktop

Is this a normal temperature? I can't find much on average temperatures for that card.

I think that's a bit too hot for it. When is the last time you cleaned your case from dust? Since it sounds like there is some dust inside you case and it gathers the heat in there.

It isn't dust, I've been running with the side off of my case far about a month and it hasn't had much effect. Don't have any additional fans pointed into it either.

My case isn't exactly the most airflow efficient as it is though.

Hmm... what kind of system you got there? And do you have any case fans to move the air inside that case??

[EDIT] And what case you got there?

Case? Old Dell case from 1997. Got a case fan blowing in at the front and a fan blowing air out the back. THe side has been off for about a month. No big change in the gpu temperature. Today I strapped a 80mm fan to the side of the video card to hopefully blow some more air over the heat sink as I don't think the fan it has is getting enough airflow.
It's dropped to 63-65 degrees.

I'm using this case only because it was the only one I had with intact sides, but not I'm thinking of switching to one of my others that are just bare metal shells. Just need to work out powerand reset switches I guess
