X1950xt 256 mb or x1900xt 512mb?? only 20€ dif

I was looking to buy a gfx this summer, first I was with my eye on the 1950 pro, but the x19xx xt lowered their prices like mad, and I found this store selling both x1950xt and the x1900xt 512 with only 20€ of price difference, I know the x1950xt has some super fast memory but the other has 512 mb, but 350mHz slower! witch one to choose??

the x1900xt is a crossfire version, that will not affect the card performance right?
and will my pc bottleneck the card?

thankx in advance

I had both those cards and the difference was minimal performance in favor of the 256MB X1950XT

Yes I know that they have very identical performances, but I'm just afraid that the 256mb on the x1950xt will not cut it in future games! for example I've seen review in witch the x1950xt 265mb in COD2 lower to 22frames where the x1900xt stays in 30+ at 1600 4AA 16AF, but in games with lower textures the x1950 stands in front!

How much did the x1900xt mem overclocked?

another option if you go with the 512Mb card is to do a slight, not extreme, overclock the memory and GPU a littlebit to make up for the minimal loss in performance to the 256Mb card.

however, in either situation, i'm sure you'll be happy with the upgrade over the card you have now .

I can't say so for sure, but it does sound like you would.

At any rate, when I upgraded from an X800 XL AGP to the X1950 PRO there was a HUGE improvement in Oblivion. You won't be disappointed with either card if Oblivion is your game.

Hey I know, I just hope that my rig wont botleneck the card! my actual gfx is not bad, but some games are just too heavy!
I wonder how will crysis run on my rig at 1600...

Dyre I've thought about the x1950pro too, there was a store selling s sapphire x1950pro 512 for 166€, and that was my inicial buying option, but 2 days after another store lowered the x1950 and the x1900xt 512 to 180 and 199, so because I dont intend to move to vista any time soon I diceded that the extra bucks would be well spent. I think the performance difference between the pro and the xt would worth the money, because the xt will play most actual games and future ones at a good frame rate(I hope)!
