Hi there and welcome to DH!

I would say that the 512Mb model is better since it has more memory.

Well after seeing some pictures of the cards I must say that they have similar coolers installed. So I think there isn't much difference in cooling.

It took me a while to find out what "10x" means. I thought that it means we should consider the price and cooling ten times. It is "thanks", right?

I would buy the 512mb version only for the amount of memory because the cooling is the same

taking the brand out of the equation, the 512MB card should be better in terms of performance...

The Sapphire in my opinion is the better card. Stock cooling is used on both cards although the Gecube also has a plate on the back of the PCB. Gecube also has half the memory and no readable temp diode so you can't monitor GPU temps.

However, there is one unknown quantity with the Gecubes which may actually be a good thing. They don't use the standard reference VRM design. They use these small coil things and caps, don't recall the technical name for the coils, but they may be less prone to overheating since you hear very little about the VRM overheating issue with the Gecube or Visiontek clone boards. Either that, or these X1950 Pro boards just aren't as popular so you hear less about them. Just a theory of mine based on what I seen from forum so I just thought I'd mention it.
