want to add another 1900 crossfire card
I want to add another card to my 512 1900 card, same card brand etc.. but before I do, do I have to change anything in the bios, or is it plug and play ? Thanks

intel motherboard, dont know the exact id # but it is setup for 2 video cards, has 2 pci slots, 1 being used for the 1st video card, and the other is open, has a power connector for the 2nd card, and I have the dongle or whatever it is called for the the connection. Sorry, if I am not getting you the exact info

Well technically you should have no issues installing a 2nd X1900 since the 6.11s support Software Crossfire. Just check the Manual and be sure the one you hook the monitor is the one in the primary slot(if it is stated there is a primary and slave slot or else a BIOS setting to boot from PCE-E 1 or 2)

has anyone tried the software crossfire with a 1900 series card? if so how is it compared to the dongle or the bridge like connector?

Scroll to the bottom of the page on the site in the link and download the program to a folder anywhere on your hdd. Extract it in that location and run the exe file from there. It requires no install and will give you the info for your mobo so you can post it here so people are not guessing to your question.

It is a gateway built system?
What is the power output of your PSU?
You might be able to look inside your case on the side of the power supply and get all the info wattage and voltage per rail info.
The power supply not being able to power two of these cards would what I would worry about, unless they put a good PSU in it.
