Text problems in Dawn of War
I recently went to play Dawn of War and found that alot of the text on the buttons and in other various places on the screen were missing parts of letters or whole letters themselves. This occurs in-game too, my unit stats, action descriptions and resource and energy counters are nothing but dots and half-formed letters. It only seems to happen with this game and I've tried changing my gfx settings but it doesnt seem to have any effect. Thanks for any advice.

as long as you havnt formated, no problem. go start - run - RegEdit and follow your way to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\THQ\Dawn of War\
when you open up the dow folder, look through the registry listings on the right and youll CD Key. itll show you what your cd key is. just copy that down and continue on.
of course if you only have one cd, that will be a problem.

sadly i think i tossed my box in the trash w/o checking it for cds, either that or it is in a place i haven't looked yet, but if i find the other cds, thx for the tip to find the key. At least Sims 2 works again, it seemed to have a problem with my old Visiontek X1300.
