gefore4 440mx + $45 = radeo 9800 pro 128meg good/bad
I have a geforce 4 440 64meg mx on my pc, a friend is offering me his 9800 pro with 128meg in exchange for my video card plus $45 in difference. Is it a good deal???
Depends what you want to play I guess...both cards are ancient...althought the GeForce4 is prolly worht $20 or so...so is the 9800 worth $65? Thats probably fair according to market value and its alot better than a GeForce4 but its still an old card too.
OMG , man the ATI 9800pro will be far better in terms of performance than the nvidia card, the MX440 its a low profile video card and the 9800pro , it's a high end even if the 9800 pro is a 2 generations old, the 9800 pro will outperform by twice the MX440.
I think so. I have no idea how much does a second hand Radeon 9800Pro cost in your country and it is an old card, but it still beats current low end cards like Radeon X1300 or GF7300 while being cheaper than them. And it certainly beats your current card.

even though the 9800 is quite old... a deal like that you want to take the offer while it stands......
PS: you're friend has to be nuts to make a offer like that

That could be true, but there is something that you dont know, he is using that card on his file server pc that runs slackware. So he said he did not care much, its a file server.
