Multiple Moniters

Hello,

Im running X1900 Crossfire and im trying to set up my moniters so i have one for gaming and one for my desktop. I have both moniters hooked up and both are showing my desktop. i have them set to clone so everything is fine there.
But, how do i set it up so each do a different job like i said, one for my games and one for my desktop so i can still see things like msn and other stuff i might be doing while im playing games.

Thanks for any tips and any usefull tutorial links would be great.

What you want is Extended Desktop mode, go into the CCC... then games will display on the monitor with the start menu and then you can put things like chat windows or temp monitors on the other screen

Unfortunately that is something that you can't fix, DX games are fullscreen... so you DO have to minimize in order to use another application.

However... have you checked out Xfire? (www.xfire.com)

That may be the answer

When Crossfire Is enabled, all other monitors will be disabled or (in some cases, corrupt). If you have crossfire, running with more then one monitor attached usually will give you nothing but headaches.

You must have crossfire disabled, and even then, running 2 vid cards with more then 2 monitors causes some serious headaches,

lastly, the primary monitor ALWAYS has 3D acceleration dibs, anything started on the primary and then moved will be shown/ran in software mode.
