Radeon 9800 Pro - Can't detect my TV - Pls help

Hi, everyone.

I have a Radeon 9800 PRO card, and Catalyst driver version 6.7
When I check the driver version it says 6.14.0010.6626. I have just downloaded and installed catalyst 6.7 from ati.com. I don't understand this, but the Control Centre is new.

My problem is that I can't detect my TV. I've tried to activate the TV in the "Displays Manager" menu, but it doesn't work. I've tried to restart PC several times.

My TV has got 3 Input channels, two scart and a V-LA-RA in front. Between the PC and the TV i have a S-Video cable. Its actually a composition cable (or whatever its called) with a bridge/transition to s-video (which goes into the ATI-card).

The cable has been working excellent before on another card. Anyone have an idea what is wrong here?

So you're using a North American card for SCART conversion? I.e. a composite --> SCART adapter?

Just clarifying

Hi!

I use a compisite (RCA) -> SCART yes.

Actually its a S-Video -> Composite -> SCART

I've also tried to remove the SCART adapter, and plug the composite cable directly into the front of the TV (it has a RCA in the front, in addition to the two AV-inlets at the back).

I don't understand this

Btw: what do you mean "North American Card"? I've bought my card in Norway.

Yeah but if the card has SVideo out and composite instead of SCART your card is a North American model.

I assume it was bought in Norway I mean that's where you live
