Anti-Aliasing / Black Screen

Hello, I have been getting very frustrated with an issue with my Anti-Aliasing. I have a Radeon X700 Pro 256 AGP card and just recently noticed that I can no longer play games with Anti-Aliasing enabled. I have the latest Omega drivers and now when I enable Anti-Aliasing, I get a black screen when I load up my game. Ive even tried going back to the same drivers where it worked, same thing. I've never had this problem and I searched everywhere for a sollution and no success. Please help me before I have to spend another $300 or throw this PC out the window.

The game I am (still) playing is Medal of Honor Allied Assault / Spearhead / Breakthrough.
As you know, these games arent very graphic demanding.

This only happens when setting the AA on the OPENGL part. I think this is because MOHAA is an OPENGL game? Direct3d doesnt affect this. What is the difference between direct3d and opengl settings? Which one would be settings for my desktop applications? Direct3d? This confuses me here.

happened on my win98 on a 9800pro with official 6.2's.....

you could make a .bat to start up a lan game & map for now

it's the quake3 engine right? this is what i did for q3 & warsow, the menu = black screen, but the game worked fine once it loaded (so did the menus after being in the game itself)
