New stuff question.
I've been thinking of replacing my AMD ATX Ati Radeon Xpress 200 motherboard with an ASUS crossfire edition motherboard (same onboard graphics as what I have now), but I changed my order and now I'm not getting a crossfire-enabled card, just a Sapphire X850XT PCI-E, so is a different motherboard really necessary?

not really.Unless u plan on running a dual card configuration then a newmobo is not needed.And the ASUS A8R32-MVP has plenty of issues in it self.

Ok, thanks. Now I can save my cash and possibly get the Sapphire X1800XT if the X850XT doesn't come back in stock.

Yeah, unless your mobo right now doesn't support what you want to do there is no need to replace it
