Driver recommendation rFactor X800XT-PE

Since installing my X800, I've been using standard Cat 5.6's But i really hate all the resources the CCC uses up. Anyone here with my card play rFactor? and if so, can you recommend a driver for it? Omega? Zero Point?

5.6's ??? those are OVER a year old, try the standard 6.7 CATS
as of modded sets you'll have to try them and decide for your self.

(and for the record ccc uses in adverage 12MB of ram when the CP is not open)

I recommend the NGOHQ drivers, but here is a list the top 3 modded ones:

NGOHQ Latest version is 1.66 .I've found these to be the best.. and you'll get the same response from a number of members here.

Omega Drivers Still one of the best drivers for image quality and performance.

DHZer0point Better than a lot of the others out there, but not better than the above ones... at least for me.

Also when you install Cat 6.7's you can elect not to install CCC by using the "Custom Install" button and uncheck the CCC box, you will have to recheck the display driver

If you presently have CCC on your computer and would like to eradicate it, go to 'control panel' in windows 'Add/remove programs' and remove it.

I would then go to the 'Driver Heaven' home page and find 'Driver Cleaner' in the left hand menu, download the free pro version, run that and I would clean anything ATI.

Restart, ignore windows (cancel) search for new hard ware and go to ATI's site to Download the Cat 6.7's and load the display driver as stated above. If you use the VIVO feature you will need the WDM driver too. (If you don't have a version of Microsoft's Net Passport, you will have to load it first.)

Alternatively go get the NGOHQ driver instead of the Cat's

I would go to All programs/ accessories/system tools/disk cleanup and run that, then back to systems tools and run disk defragmenter and then reboot and see if that does not help some.

I tried the NGO drivers based on the cat 6.6 on my other rig with an X800XL, and they seem to be much better than the Omega's, based on 6.3's i believe, not sure though, that i had on before, I'll be trying them on my main rig soon !! Thanks for the tips fellas !!
