A question of timing, when is the price shift coming?
Well there's been a lot of excitement in the viddy card world, but the prices are still pretty much the same as they were a week or two back. We all know there's a price shift coming up, but anyone wanna start talking about when it might be happening?
Oh, I guess I do....
(YES!!!! I miss the 9500 Pro that ATI lent me to play with....it's an AMAZING freaking piece of hardware that has forever spoiled me in gaming and I think I simply MUST get one, or a 9700....)
I figured it'd be a good time to start up another 'shopping for me first 9500/9700' thread since there seems to be a rather sizeable number of people asking me about it privately already. (And I wanna pick everyone heres brain for me own personal benefit...again. )

The price shift is going to come once nVidia gets it's budget cards out for the next generation - nv31 and nv34, and once ATI gets the r350, rv350, and various budget versions out. THEN the price wars are going to start... midway through that the nv35 will supress r350/rv350 prices for the top of the line cards, and then nv40/r400 wars are going to start - and I think nVidia is going to really ramp up nv40 R&D to keep from getting caught with it's pants down... and thats the ToshiroOC forecast of the day

Hmmmm, I'd say that 9500Pro. Digi, you aint got a ****load of money, so personally I say spoil yourself with a 9500Pro. Unless you can find a 9500 and softmod it, but that's unlikely.
edit: Start saving money DIGI. It'll come in due time......
