Hi, I've got to say I've noticed them too! on this Sapphire 9500Pro mainly on DH but i think it's jus' i don't notice them on different colours/images jus' when it's a one colour background. Anyone shed anylight? It's like a refresh/re-draw issue. Some times it seems worse than others, sometimes I can't see them.

I've notified one of the ATi Technicians, and I'm awaiting their reply. To what degree does it do it on yours? Mine it's only seems to be occasionally and for a few seconds at most. I've only experienced while browsing as well.

I've seen this problem on various setups in the past. It usually has something to do with where you have your monitor plugged in. It's like the wall-socket isn't providing enough current somehow. Try a different wall socket for your monitor. I've seen where like the fridge turns on and the monitor will flicker or go wavy on me and that was the only solution I've ever come up with was to try a different socket.
Does the 9500 have that extra power tap on the card? If so, it may just be your PC's power supply is too weak for the card or maybe try using a different plug from the supply to the card.
Maybe up the AGP voltage a notch.
Don't know if that'll help ya, but that's some things you can try anyway.

It is reasonably save to "boost it up" to within 10% or so, which is within standard tolerances, so going up to 1.6v is probably ok, and going up to 1.7v is a little riskier, but not overly dangerous (but remember, when doing anything like this, you are taking risks...)

I got hopeful then, I'm on a 400w PSU, I don't think it's that. I'm gonna try moving my monitor as far away from anything electrical incase it's interence from a transformer or such. I'll do that when I get home. I have since noticed it on the desktop and if i look carefully on a white background. So i don't think it's certain colours/display images that are setting it off. I'm also gonna to see if the lines appear on my TV when using TV-out which would immediately implement the card rather than the monitor.

It's only started it with this 9500 pro, not on any of my other cards or monitors.

Unfortunately, the AIW 9700 Pro users who have this problem can't get rid of it since we are already using our DVI-to-VGA connector.

I see the same thing with my Sapphire 9500pro that I ordered from newegg. (It was shipped in plain brown box with bubble wrap.) I never noticed this behavior when I had my GeForce 4 Ti4200 installed. It also seems to occur more when the PC is first booted. It's almost like the card needs to "warm up" a bit before the optimal refresh rate can be achieved.
At first I thought it was my monitor (Sony CPD-G520P) but put the GeForce back in and the lines never appeared.
