Y'know DriveEuro, us news posters don't always see every thread thats posted. I'll look over it, but given that its from The Inquirer I'm going to take it with a pinch of salt and if it seems credible enough, I'll post it... if you can find a more reliable source for it, I'd be most interested, but The Inquirer is almost like an online tabloid, and not really suited well for news sorts of things...

hmmmmmmm
yeah it sounds pretty sweet but u have to remember that its jus an over clocked 9700 pro! i'm not saying thats bad but overclocking isntone of myfavorite things to do, but on the other hand the r300 chip was a great turn around for radeon, i mean hell the 97 pro already woops all the TI series geforces!! so lets jus see how it does while next to the FX (this autta begood)

But YOU have to remember that it is NOT the same exact processor that the R300 has. So really it is not a R300 overclock. But equivalent to a R300 overclocked.

ahhhhh, ok, i was under the impression that it was the same chip as the 97 (R300) that was simple overclocked
