Truform - How do I use it?

Is it possible to turn this on manually or does the game I'm playing have to support it? I remember installing a game sometime last year and seeing the option there but as I had an Nvidia card at the time it wasn't available to me. Now I have my 9500 Pro I want to try it out but I can't remember what game it was

Is there some sort of list of games supporting the feature anywhere? I had a search on google but all I found where some articles from early 2001

I don't believe that you need to have game-specific support for it - I would suggest mucking around in the Catalyst settings near the quality stuffs - if I recall from the last time I troubleshooted a friend's ATI card, thats where it was...

Aye you can turn it on manually there are sliders in the advanced settings under Direct3d and Opengl tabs. I believe it's for older games with low polygon counts to enhance the visuals.. New high polygon games will actually suffer performance wise if enabled.

You will suffer performance wise when it is turned on, however, if you use it on an old enough game, you won't lose so much FPS that you can't play it normally at the normal settings that you like... meaning that it would probably work well for, say, Half-life or Deus Ex, but UT2k3 would stop your system in it's tracks with Truform on with all the other settings on what they would normally be with Truform off...

Yeah I tried changing that setting but it is either Always Off or Application Controlled which lead me to think that the game has to have support for it. I did find out that there are a few games that support it: Myth III(Which sucks) CounterStrike (which looks ugly no matter how you mess round with it) and Serious Sam (Which I dont have)

The R300-cored cards have had problems with Truform in the past, so I always leave it disabled. Not sure if the latest CATs fixed that or not.
