X800XT AIW AGP Temps
I have a new X800XT AIW, I have been using Everest Ultimate Edition to monitor temperature, and well... I see a normal idle temp of 44-48 degrees Celcius of the Card, 48-52 GPU Ambient (whatever that means) and my HD is normally at 37 idle, I have recoreded 64 degrees right after an hour of gameplay. Are these temps normal?
PIV 2.4, x800XT AIW, 512 RDRAM (it sucks), Audigy 2, Z-5500 speakers, WD 120 + 200 GB Caviar SE's

That is about where mine runs temperature wise. I know a person's that was running far hotter than that and this is his personal review of a cooler he used to make it better. http://www.bleedinedge.com/reviews/c...an_vga_01.html

I never suggested you spend money on a cooler, it is just a link for comparison sakes to give you some idea of what temps are being seen. ATI told the fellow in that article that 80C was ok. I posted that my temp was as yours so that you could see what might be a ballpark temp for our cards. Just trying to help, not trying to sell anything! I would say that with the stock cooler our cards are at "average" temps. Anyone else for comparison sakes???

Your temps are just fine. My X800XL runs in the low to mid 60's when gaming, too. These cards can stand temps up to 100. (But, I'd worry if it stayed that high very long. )

Thanks Dyre Straits!
I also would worry about the 80C, heat hurts, life expectancy of the card would be reduced I am sure at such temps!!
