The only reason I could see for "updating" a video card's BIOS is to either 1.) unlock pipes, or 2.) lock a particular overclock speed.
A 9800 PRO doesn't have extra pipes to unlock and you can just overclock it using ATiTool or ATT or whatever.
So, updating your video card BIOS is well, pointless.
