cubase timing problem, not latency related
Hey, I'm currently using an audigy 1
Souncard appears as SB0090 10k2 [9000] in kx mixer My audiocomputer works fine, latency between 512 and 1024 samples latency in several audio applications under cpu load. I'm having strange problems in combination with the 3537 and 3538i driver-package of kx (the only one I've ever installed). This happens in cubase sx3 newest version. I didn't know this problem until I've used pattern based VST for the first time. While VST instruments of almost any kind loaded in cubase work fine, I get the same problem with exactly two VST FXPansion Guru Demo Microtonic (Both patternbased VST Plugins, maybe you can try the demo versions) Description of the problem: Timing perfect, on spot, both patternbased vst react to transport of the host, but the first 1/16 of the pattern isn't played. If I place the host position to the start of a sequence, it's always missing out the first hit. If I place host position a bit earlier, the drumhit gets played. Steps to analyze problem: installed Asio4all v2.0, problem disappears under cubase -> bad performance Ableton Live 5.03 shows no problem with kx asio driver. Energy XT Standalone -> no problem with kx driver, nor asio4all Energy XT loaded as VST in Cubase -> problem with kx driver, no problem with asio4all I know that this is probably a very specific buffer problem, still I would like to ask you kx guys to look at this. If I can help you out, please tell me what I can do. Thanks in advance HW: amd xp 2700+ abit an7 nforce 2 audigy 1 running kx 3538i radeon 9600xt S-Ata Harddrives 400 W PSU SW: XP Media Ed. SP2, Soundapplications, nothing more |
