Using Amplitube with Kx

I know this is a problem that many people had.

English is not my language so please be patience!

Im trying to use the Amplitube Live (the standalone version) with my guitar. I have a Sound Blaste Live Value with the Kx Proyect drivers.

I installed the software and it offers me to setup the inputs/ouptus to use. I select the "KX ASIO" and everything configured itself aparently.

I use my guitar plugged into the "microphone" input and it sounds in the speakers. There is unproccesed sound, so there is no cable or input problems.

But the Amplitube doesnŽt get any kind of signal. I tryed to move every damn pot in the KX panel. But nothing happened.

Then Puting the AC97 source in "mic in" the amplitube start making a horrible distortioned sound with my guitar. Totaly out of control. Then the classical software error of windows xp...and the program closed itself.

Any ideas. IŽve been reading some other threads to find this kind of problem but nothing helped.

IŽll wait your answers.... Thank you a lot!

Pd: sorry for my poor english.

always use 48Khz, and make a little modification of your asio setting on kx dsp window!
(input signal on prolog routed directly to epilog)

I've had some problems with Amplitube and SONAR 4. But, I dont use Amplitube Live!
I have to use the VST version of Amplitube, not the DXi version, first of all.
Then , I think you should try it with the old ProFX, first, or 3537.

See how that would work, and then post back. You didnt even mention what Sequencer u use,

Cya.

Hi Thomas.

I didnŽt mentioned what secuencer I use because I use the standalone version of amplitube. There is no reason to use a sequencer. I have Sonar, Fruity Loops, etc.

Anyway using the vst Version is also very problematic.

I have 2 windows Xp installed. I uninstalled KX from one windows and installed asio4all and it work perfect.

IŽll check those links to see what happens.

Hey. Just wanted to say I think you guys forget one thing. Don't use the Mic input unless you are going to record with a mic. I use amplitube as a cubase plugin but always use the Line In and it sounds splendid. If I overlooked this and it's already been posted, I apologize. Hope this helps!
