rolleyes Audigy 2 ZS/Logic multiple inputs

Ok, I've been trying to find an answer to this for a while, but can't seem to find it on my own... I've searched the forums and read the relavent site information, and got nowhere.

I have an Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro running with Logic Platinum 5.1 on an XP system.

I want to record several inputs at once, ie from the stereo line in and the mic in sources simultaniously.
However, I cannot manage to record from any other source than input 1 & 2, or Line in 1/Mic on the external card.

In Logic I can only select to record from input 1 or input 2, nomatter what changes I have made, there has been no option to record from any other sources than these.

Firstly, correct me if I am wrong, but it should be possible to record from more than 1 input simultaniously on my card yes?

Secondly, how would I go about doing this? Or atleast, getting Logic to see the other inputs...

Cheers.

in logic, go to the audio hardware control panel, change the ASIO ins channels from 2 to how many ins you need

Have already done that, tried a range of values but still no change.

Any other ideas or suggestions?

I am using the kX drivers btw.

you mean in the track mixer you can only select input 1 and 2?
this is due to the settings of logic, not kX - make sure you increase that value

Yes, that is what I mean, but I have also tried to adjust that value... perhaps I'm not doing it correctly.

I go:

Audio > Audio Hardware and Drivers
Select the audio driver 2 tab, where the ASIO settings are
Then use the drop-down menus next to where it says 'Max. I/O streams'.

I have set this to 2, 4, 6, 8 and Max with no difference in result from any of them.

Is this the correct way to change the available inputs? If not, would you please be able to tell me how.

Thanks for your responses.

make sure that those settings are inputs, not outputs - there should be two menus there
don't forget to restart the application if it prompts you to

Yes, I have inputs set to 6 and outputs set to 2 currently. I have restarted the program and even the PC after making changes to different settings.

I'm not so sure this is the problem however... Have you heard of any problems setting up a ZS p.p. to recieve multiple channels at once? And do you have any other ideas of where the problem might be?
