Weird problems

I'm having some wierd problems using kx. I'm using nuendo and guitar rig seperately and if I have kx set at 44.1khz, then I cannot use guitar rig cause none of the asio ports work, but if I set it had 48khz, then it does work... but then nuendo cracks and pops a lot. I'm running asio at 5.33ms and it usually works fine(atleast when I was using logic a while back). Anyone have any similar issues? I'd also like to know how one can go about setting the buffers for optimal performance. not sure if setting them higher or lower is better. And does anyone know if, say I'm running nuendo, that when I change a setting in kx if it automatically happens? or do I need to restart neundo to see the effects?
