Hi
Sorry about this silly question, but i need to know how to make it possible to send a recorded audio chn. in cubase (vst 5) out trough an external hardware (in my case a lovely RE-201:-) and then re-record the signal in cubase directly. I was thinking there must be an easy way with the kX DSP or the kX Router... ... have anyone done this, in a smart way, or are there any tutorials that i have missed. Best Regards . nekmok ps.. is there any way of using all the inputs of two kx-cards(an APS and a SB0060 5.1) simultaniously in cubase... (i'm not hopeful about this one...) ds |

for the second issue search the forum for multi-card setups
as for sending an audio channel out - in cubase set the output to something other than the main output in the kX router set that same asio output pair to an fxbus routing in the kX DSP connect that fxbus pair to an output (front/rear/sub-centre) connect the physical output of the soundcard to the outboard fx, then connect the output of the fx to the line in of the soundcard then connect the line in (ac97) in the DSP to an ASIO input on the epilog in cubase select an audio channel and set it to that input

Thank you Stick! I got It to work.
I did a bit of an ugly thing connecting the two cards with SPDIF cables(...eeh actually crappy RCA cables) in the front, so now im using the SB card as an FX loop (SPDIF IN/OUT) for the APS. Both using its ins an outs for extarnal FX And the FX stuff in the kX DPS. So now i'll do some drumcompressing with a nice external tube compressor... ![]() .kris |
