Another audio recording issue
Hello all. I am new here and new to the whole KX driver scene and I have to say I am THRILLED with the results I have had from the KX drivers so far....with one notable problem. I can't bounce my midi tracks to audio (VSTi) in Cubase 2.0.
I know this issue has come up before with other hardware/sequencer setups and I am just another gumby bemoaning the same problem, but I am stuck. I have read through the forum, gone to the web pages that try to instruct and have met with no success. Now either my IQ has dropped perceptibly over the years or I am missing something pretty basic.
I am using an Audigy soundcard (w/livedrive). All my work is done in midi using either VSTi or Soundfonts. My keyboard plays fine through the computer system (Ensoniq EPS 16+) and all the VSTi's are heard, but when I go to either bounce the midi to audio or record the sounds coming from my hardware synths and samplers, I get nothing in Cubase. All my busses are active in Cubase and since everything else works excellently, I know it has to be in the DSP, but I have absolutely NO CLUE on how to "wire" it correctly or even how to test which ASIO port is which and what Cubase is "seeing" (if anything). I did try using the diagram on Texter's site and that changed nothing for me. If anyone has a similar problem with the same hardware or if someone could tell me a step-by-step procedure to use, I would be eternally grateful for any assistance.
Michael
