??? KxAsio + SB-Live 5.1 (022x) - Nuendo2 not working ?

Hello all!

I have Nuendo 2.1, a SB Live (022x) and the last kxDrivers 3537 installed without prior Creative-Driver installation.

After reboot I got sound in Windows.
I followed the Advice to connect the AC97 Left/right with asio0 and asio1 via the DSP-Panel
After setting the AC97 to MicIn etc. I was able to hear my guitar ;-)
Then I opened Nuendo and tried to Setup Asio and selected the kxAsio-Driver with 48000hz Samplerate.
I restarted Nuendo and wasnt able to hear any output in Nuendo or to see any Audio coming from the Input in Nuendo!
I looked into the setting for VST System-Link and under Asio-Input I got a"1 kX in 00" and under ASIO-Output I got "1kX in 00" (Doesnt the Output need something like "1kX out 00" ???)

After trying some hours I am now out of ideas!
Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong?

Basically I want to record the MicIn-signal via ASIO and to have Audiooutput of course ;-)

Any useful advice would be great!

TIA
webgonzo

Hi!

I´m not familiar with nuendo, but cubase - so VST system link is not the in/out you need - it´s for software chaining (or computer chaining). You need VST inputs and VST outputs to activate. Look in menu for those items and activate there the right inputs and outs (should be a stereo pair, so asio 0/1 or similar).

Other comments of nuendo users are welcome!!!

Greetings!

Thanks for the Info!

I had it working with an onboard soundcard before. I think you mean that I have to create a Track connected to Input1 and Output1. I have done that but I cant even hear anything from a demosong or see any Mic-Input in the Master Control Panel.

I connected the AC97 to MicIn in the kx-Mixer and I can hear my guitar in Windows but Nuendo doesnt show that Input and makes no Output at all when I want to hear Nuendo-Songs.

I was a bit to fast ;-)

I see Input and can Record the Input via the ASIO-Port but I cant hear Recorded things ?
I got the VST-FX working after swapping the back/front speaker output

I am using kx Out 06/07 for Output.

Now Im sure it is only a DSP Setting but how do I get kX Out 06/07 to the speaker ?

in default that is mapped the the rear speakers… depending on whether you have the swap front/rear enabled it will be either the green (swap f/r on) or the black (swap f/r off) ports on the back of the card
