Big problems

hi, i want to use kx drivers with my sb live 5.1 player and traktor dj studio.

I want to monitor some sounds via headphones and hear the main music on my speakers (Creative Desktoptheater 2200 / 5.1).

I tried about an hour now and did'nt find any configuration working. can plz anybody help me?

well also i got some questions:
maybe its a little difficult to me to explain them in english to you. but i read some guides on the page and the according extracts of the help - i'm not sure in some points so here the questions are:

1. prolog is the deviceof external sound-sources. the input goes to the router. isnt it?

2. fx bus is the device of the software generated sounds, eh?

3. epilog is then the output of the routed sounds, but also a simulated output via asio.
that works like this: i tell the programm, the analog output would be asio port X . The sounds are sent via asio,. but asio isnt analog, it is sending the sounds to the analog source FX which sends it via the router to the analog outputs. is that right?

hmmm maybe the quesions are really stupid but i tried half an hour creating some DSPs for my problem and none worked . i hear sound on the right channel of my soundsystem for example.

so it would be nice, if you can find answers to my questions but i need an answer to my first question at all: How do i configure the SB Live 5.1 Player with Traktor and on which ports do i have to plug my headphones + soundsystem in???

thx

mfg

System Specs

ok for the basics

fxbus routings start from 0, so if a program is outputting on 1/2 - it is most likely 0/1 in the DSP

ASIO mappings on the epilog are the INPUTS in an asio sequencer, where-as the rest of the mappings are physical outputs

your definitions of the fxbus and prolog are perfect

you don't really need to do anything major for traktor
choose kx ASIO 4/5 for master and kX ASIO 6/7 for monitor with the default setup
