Sad cant mute direct signal! HELP!~!

Hi,

Sounds very dumb,
Whatever I tweak in the kx mixer or in nuendo etc, i cannot get rid of my direct input sound.
(want to hear only signal with an effect, for playing guitar, but this direct sound is xtremely annoying)
Any comments are highly appreciated!

Thanks!!!

i take it you are using ASIO, with the effect from within nuendo?

if so go to the i/o window and mute the ac97 slider

Hi Dj

Yes, kx asio.

When I mute or put the a97 slider down NOTHING changes. So I Still hear it.
My jack is in the mic input (physical)
Everything is muted , exept for the line2 slider in the I/O window.
Then I have both signals (nuendo + direct) .
This is controlable. when I mute this, the sounds are muted.
However, when unmuting the everything else in any window, no sound is there.
It also doesn't matter wether i have line2 selected in the ac97 window or not,
everything goes 2 line2.

that doesn't change anything.
It does when I disconnect line2. But then I get no signal period.
So all of my signal seems to go to line2 in the i/o window.
But your suggestion is still good. I'm going to potter around in the dsp window.
