no in-signal in cubase with kx-driver

Hi, I'm new here on the board so maybe this question has been asked/answered many times before, but...

I've just installed the kx-driver and everything runs smooth and the latency in cubase is low, but I can't record audio in cubase because it won't detect any signal. I have to record with soundforge and then import it into cubase. Anyone? I have activated the ac97 in the recording thing in the mixer. I tried to mess around a little with the dsp-settings, but that didn't change anything. Anyone?

cheers,
Terje

what sound card do you have? if you have a live 5.1 you will need to test each input for signal. Re-initialise the DSP first, by rightclicking in the DSP window and selecting the option, t oget back to the default DSP, then look here

Hi, I have soundblaster live platinum and Cubase SX. I've routed the dsp-thing now and I get a signal in cubase, but all my previous recordings were in 44100kHz and when I try to open them I get the message "Samplerate could not be set. This may be due to the sampleclock being set to external sync". All my audio files become too short and make noise. How do I solve this problem?

thanks,
Terje

use a program like soundforge to re-sample them, open then, and then save as and select 48khz as the samplerate

Do I have to do this with every audio file I've ever used in Cubase? A helluva job. I actually tried to resample the files in cubase, the tempoproblem got fixed, but there was still this noiseproblem on some of the samples. Well, thanks for all your help anyway.
