problem when multiple asio selected
Hi,
i am running midiox, midi yoke, and am trying to run standalone versions of b4, fm7, absynth
i can run any one by itself ok but when i start the second and select asio as the audio port i agte the following error creating input buffer #0: error=-2147024809 [size=4096] get last error ()=2 E_invalidarg: to big latency and 2 many channels
am i missing some thing?
my hardware acceleration is at full and i am running XP
if i use the sound card as the audio port they all run together but for eg the play ahead output buffer is 50ms to get no crackles

i think if the ASIO latency is set to high the driver will crash… try using a lower latency, or if you need a latency this high use WDM

I run many softsynths with the KX drivers. I have the same problem when trying to run multiple synths in stand alone mode.
Therefore I use a "host" program Like VSTack. With a host program you can load up as many instruments as your CPU/RAM can handle without getting the buffer errors.
There are many vst hosts out there and you should be able to find a demo or free hosts if you search the web for VST Hosts.
http://www.kvr-vst.com/
theres a great site with all manner of info and links to VST instruments, effects and hosts.

no TravelRec, you are right
for using some vsti`s as a standalone, you can only use the different DS outs (0/1, 4/5, 6/7, 8/9) but with this higher latency
