??? 2 questions about ASIO recording

Hi!
I use Cubase SX, and I found a way to record each MIDI/SF2 or VSTi tracks to audio tracks, doing a connection on the DSP window (from xrouting stereo_l & stereo_r to epilog asio 12/13). This connection works like the "what you hear" setting on Creative drivers. My question is: any way to record both SF2 synths directly to those ASIO channels?
Second question is: I did the trick connecting AC97 left & right to ASIO 14/15, for line in recording in Cubase, but the input recorded is low (about -15db). Any way to increase that level?

BTW, you're doing a great job!!!!!! KX drivers are excellent!!!!!!!!
