??? Re:Re:Is it possible to record at 44,1 i CUbase?

Thank you very much DJ Stick (I've opened a new mew message because I haven't could reply your reply to my original message):

So, there's any intention of implementing the 44,1 record feature?

Thank you very much again.

i can't speak for the developers… but it seems to be a difficult problem to overcome… however if you set ASIO at 44100 you can playback fine, just you cannot record

You can record at 44.1 with kx, but not using asio. Remember that if you really need that (don't see a real reason though) you could use the asio multimedia drivers included with cubase or the sonar drivers...

Anyway, Cubase SX can manage very well with different sample rates. A good idea could be to change the sample rate in the 'Project setup' menu to 48khz and then use 'Conform' function in the Pool so you would change everything to 48khz without any problems. After this you can record with full asio support. Backup your songs first if you are not sure, but I did it many times and never got a problem.

Saludos paisano

Nando

BTW. All of this only works for Cubase SX/Nuendo, not for Cubase VST.

Excellent bit of info for a Cubase user like myself who has a load of stuf recorded at 44.1 but who'd like to re-do some of it...
Thanks a lot

Ok so this is fine for correcting audio you already have recorded at 44.1, but what if you do all your recording at 48 and then want to import some audio samples? Since these are all recorded at 44.1 when you play them back in your music they are all too fast? Can anyone help?

Many thanks

Gavin

Isn't the whole point of the KX Driver so that you CAN record audio in ASIO (ie with very little latency?)

yes, but as we are restricted to the DSP's samplerate of 48khz, we must record at that

Resample that files before you import them to 48kHz or let cubase open the converting dialog while opening a *.wav and set the correct converting properties. This will not work with audio CDs, rip the waves first to HD, then import (cubase bug??).

Greetings!
