happy accident, new feature, or where was I?
Since when I can wire REC L and R from routing into ASIO ins and actually get signal for asio recording? I've always thought routing REC and epilog REC were somehow hardwired "underneath" and the wires did nothing. Same thing with the wires from prolog to routing that were used for monitoring but even with no wire, recording still was possible...
btw, it works recording wave, synth and fx return, but I tried A3 on the APS, I got no signal to ASIO and still had to activate monitoring and wire prolog-ASIO
If this "feature" worked consistently across all recording sources it would ease ASIO recording a lot, well at least most people would only need to learn one way to record, both for MME and ASIO.
what do you think... I'm all ears

the microcode allows lots of different connections and signal flows
please search the forum for details on 'xrouting' and 'epilog' internal structure
there's a special code in 'epilog' that allows to record the inputs directly, bypassing 'prolog'
asio recording is usually performed based on 'prolog'->'epilog' connections, but not on the code, used for RecL/RecR

Thanks Eugene. I just thought it would be cool to be able to use the recording page on kxmixer for simple 1 or 2 channel asio recording.

perhaps. but I'm unsure if it's a good idea to use this configuration as the 'default' one
any ideas?

I'd rather put the accent in the fact that xrouting's RECL and RECR are not consistent with the settings made on the kXmixer record page. As it is now, i think that one can only do MME record level monitoring through software, because plugging RECL/R to some output will only reflect wave, synth and fx return recor levels, but not analog ins recording
I still dont know why xrouting's RECL RECR don't output "the real thing". It confused me for some time back then, really
regards

it's a long story
some time ago xrouting was responsible for dealing with the inputs
then the code was moved into epilog
I'll review the present design once again
