Audigy platinum - isolate headphone out?

Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to isolate the headphone output as an output I could choose to route in Ableton live. Basically I dont want all the audio to come out of the headphone out, just a specific track (ex: guitar). I'm sure this is doable through the DSP but I really don't know how. always appreciate the help!

Re: Audigy platinum - isolate headphone out?

I am not familiar with Ableton but:
The headphone output is the 7th and 8th pins of epilog (in the DSP).
Just find the FxBus pins that match the ASIO channels used by the track you want to monitor in the headphones, and connect it directly to the above pins.
(i.e. if your track is set to use ASIO 4/5, then connect FxBus 4/5 to pins 7/8 of epilog)

If Ableton allows you to setup custom outputs, then your best bet is probably to just dedicate a stereo ASIO channel for headphone usage, and then just assign that output to any tracks that you want to monitor in the headphones, etc. (and connect in the DSP as above)
