ASIO Setup with guitar - Not working
Hi guys,
Im new to plugging my guitar into my computer and im using a mono to mono jack to plug my guitar lead into my line in on my computer.
It works fine playing through my speakers but when i try to use Wave GTR in conjunction with ASIO - all i get is squeeling and screeching with no improvement when i try to play around with the settings.
Any help on this is much appreciated,
Thanx

What exactly does this mean - ASIO is an audio interface - not a VST host - so 'in conjunction' is kind of meaningless.
What ASIO host are you using?
Have you changed the kX DSP config at all?

He uses Wave GTR which probably can run standalone and as such has a "build-in" ASIO host.

Is there a reason to use ASIO4ALL?
I ask because, using ASIO4ALL vs kX ASIO will affect what to do.

hehe - this *is* a kX driver support forum... kX Driver is a great replecement driver for compatable SBLive/Audigy sound cards - and has its own ASIO driver - in addition to all the cool stuff that can be done with the kX DSP interface to the 10kX series of DSP chips found on the said compatable cards.
A list of compatible cards:
kX Project: Knowledgebase: kX Soundblaster Compatibility List
A little dated, but still mostly relevant

Re: ASIO Setup with guitar - Not working
you'll need a DI box of some variety to get your guitar lvel to match the level/impedence of the mic/line inputs on your soundcard
