how to setup asio to record in sonar

Trying to record line in through sonar with asio drivers. not getting any signal at all???

Not sure how to set it up, is it posible to get one of those files which you can just load up in the mixer cause all that routing stuff is very confusion also not sure what the hell is going on in the asio section.

also wondering if you can direct input monitor within sonar as well ie if l want to record my guitar with amplitude effects in real time?

l've got a p4 2.4 1gig ram running XPsp1 with a Sound blaster Live card.

Any help would greatly be apprecaited

options>audio>input monitoring

just use default routings generally, set driver in sonar to asio.turn up ins/outs volume in kxmixer for required input ....
