I wouldn't think the KX drivers would handle that as it's a USB device it wouldn't be directly involved with the soundcard. It would probably "show up" in KX mixer as a wave file so the wave slider may control it's volume along with anything else that's playing at the same time. Just a guess...

The light snake is a kX unrelated/seperate sound device.
You could: 1) record from the light snake and mix through kX ASIO OUTPUTS, and just use the lightsnakes ASIO INPUT device in your DAW. But you cant rout those inputs into kX *directly*. 2)if your DAW supports multiple ASIO devices at one time - use a kX ASIO send bus - and software monitor back in your daw. |

thanx for the replies guys
the deal is this is a baaaad way of getting my signal to the computer ! lol I thought this might be easier than having my outboard converter but i dont think so as it stands now the main problem being i have to select usb device input and output to get this thing to work at all in other words, i dont seem to be able to hear the audio thru the kx mixer at all. via wave,aux,aux2 etc so,i'll keep going the way it was. the support from sountech on this product is not so good right now. anyways, thanx for your advice |

You cant go wrong with a pre-amp that converts analog to SPDIF - no worries about drivers not being upgraded and what not. I am always worried about such 'software based' toys like that. But, a sound card worth anything would likely have a SPDIF input. |
