kx ASIO & Cubase 5.0r6 Init Errors
Hi,
I've installed the kx Driver 3532 (lastest) i beleive and everything seems to work fine, the audio reproduction appears to be significantly better using the swapped rear out and I rather like the mixer and routing options. My probelm however is that cubase 5.0r6 refuses to use the kx ASIO drivers failing with "kx ASIO init error: no error".
I've followed advice on here playing with both hardware acceleration settings, routings from prolog to epilog and also attempted to reconfigure cubase going to the point of a full OS reinstall, all of which have not solved this problem.
If anyone has any Ideas i'd love to hear them as i'm now stumped. below is my spec.
SB Live (CT4760)
Win2000 (SP3)
Cubase 5.0r6
kx Driver (3532)
PS. the only idea i do have is that the libs are out of date but after downloading the right dlls from the kx project web site i'm now stuck attempting to overwrite the existing dlls in \winnt\system32.
Cheers
bG

Have you installed KX libraries prior to installing the driver? Try re-installing. And yes, overwrite everything KX asks you to.

don't forget to set 'hardware acceleration' to 'full' in the control panel
review our FAQ for details

Ok, i'll reinstall the drivers again or failing that I'll go buy an upgrade to cubase SX and see if that helps.
Thanks for your help guys,
Cheers

Tinkered with this for another week then gave up and went and bought a winXP upgrade. This has at least solved my ASIO problems...
So it seems guys that the ASIO drivers simply do not work with windows 2000 in the above configuration, cubase 5, sx etc...
Cheers any ways. Now I have these working they are pretty good but at the cost of an SX upgrade and a winXP upgrade this has turned out to be a rather expensive affair. Maybe a new soundcard would have been more logical.

kx ASIO init error: no error
I have the same "kx ASIO init error: no error" problem not being able to select the kx ASIO drivers from Cubase SX. I have Win2k SP4 and an EMU APS card. It used to work fine with Win98SE.

in the kxmixer menu select 'settings -> ASIO Contol Panel' -- does it work?
if not, re-check that the hardware acceleration for -every- Wave device is set to 'Full'
(that is, for 0/1, 4/5, 6/7, 8/9!)
