kx asio nuendo no fx return

Hi

i'm new to kx project and I have a sblive 5.1, just for asio latency in nuendo.

the problem i'm experiencing is, when recording line in, i ear the source but i can't hear the vst or dx effect applied.

-the ac97 prolog go to asio 0&1 epilog in dsp
-the vst inputs 0&1 are selected in nuendo

anyone knows how to fix this?

Hi b_ber,

- To monitor your sound in Nuendo you need to hit the M (monitor) button for that track. It is an 'M' right below the 'R' for record in the track view.

- Also you are probably hearing the 'clean' sound from ac97 going to the 'xrouting' in the kx mixer. So u should put a 'St Vol' module between that connection in the kx mixer so u can turn down the direct clean sound and hear ONLY Nuendo.

- I have a nice setup for Nuendo that works perfect with my SB live plat5.1 and livedrive. I recommend u try it

I use kx3531 drivers, and use the default routing mainly, but also add the St Vol modules where i need them, as described above.

Here is how the inputs and outputs look in Nuendo

inputs

ac97(mic) > kx in 10/11 (=Nuendo IN 11/12)
lin2/mic2 > kx in 14/15 (=Nuendo IN 15/16)
Aux2 > kx in 04/05 (=Nuendo IN 05/06)


outputs (use KX OUT 04 for front speakers)

Kx ASIO 0/1 = Front & Rear outputs
Kx ASIO 4/5 = Front outputs
Kx ASIO 6/7 = Rear outputs
Kx ASIO 8/9 = Centre/Sub output

-Enable ONLY the needed VST Inputs in the ' VST Inputs ' window in Nuendo. ie.(kx In 04/05,kx In 10/11,Kx In 14/15)

direct monitoring is not accessible from vst multitrack configuration, i did it manually on the track as you said and it's ok!!!
