"sample rate could not be set"

hi folks!

i'm just trying to use the kx 5331 driver with my cubase sx 1.0.5.61.
i can select the driver in the vst multi track window, but when i want to start a new project, i get the message "sample rate could not be set... perhaps it is synchronized with an extern device". i can't record anything.
everything works fine with the two cubase asio drivers.
can anybody help me?

make sure the sample rate is 48000 the asio cant do anything but 48000

i've solved my prob now.
here's my dsp wiring:

[COLOR=orangered]dsp[/COLOR]

cubase settings:
vst inputs: kx8 - 13 enabled

now i can select between ac97, line/mic2 and aux2 inputs.

no error messages anymore ... everthing works real fine!!
