exclamation I am having probs with install of driver..plz help

Hello all

I have been having probs with Cubase Sx and my Sound blaster Audigy plantenium EX card. The Latency with my Keyboard is to much. So I was told to come and down load this driver. But the install exe seems to not work right.....or is it just me messing something up. I have Win98 Se

Here is what happens

1. I go to the KX project website and hit the Latest driver link.........that one being 5.10.0.3529

2. Get the KX Auio Driver ( Full Version )...Go to a Mirror and Download

3. Save to file Kxdrv3529-Full.exe to desktop

4. Download Complete and I hit open

5. Welcome to...comes up and I hit next, and Agree with license, Choose all Components and hit next again

6. Install into C:\Program Files\kX Project Package

7. It tells me :: Completing the KX Project package..Click Finish to close this wizard.....and I have a check in the Install KX audio driver box

8. Once I hit Finish this pops up.................KX Setup Error Running Kxsetup.exe and it wont go from there.

So now I try to download Kxdrv3529-update.exe hoping that may have something I need

I run the install and when I its about done...it ask for

Please insert the disk labeled 'Eugene Gavrilov KX Driver Disk' and then click. OK

Being I dont have a disk by the name I have to stop here.

Does anyone have any ideas for me. I have looked all over for info and now I turn to you. I hope I gave you enough info.

When you see "Please insert the disk labeled 'Eugene Gavrilov KX Driver Disk' etc." just browse to where the kX driver files have been unpacked on your hard drive (e.g. \\program files\kx project\3530 etc..).

The install wizard should find the kX INF and other system files there and complete the install for you.

Best of luck.

Thank you Hanz Petrov and Daniel Drummond for your reply. I found a driver in that folder.
But now I have new problems. My Sound card came with an external box. That has my Midi ins and out , Line in's and so on. My line in does not seem to be working. Could be I just need to find a place to set it up again? Also I'm using Cubase SX (Why I'm going though this hell) when I hit my Midi keyboard...I see the green light telling me it knows I hit it...but I get no sound back. Is there somewhere I can set this up? I get no line in at all. I run my turntables in to the computer to record, and normally when I put the needle on the record, I get sound though my computer. But now I don’t get anything. Thank you for taking time out to help us out.

I have Windows 98se and a Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum EX

Thanks again!!!
