recording in cubase sx

Hello,

I'm trying to record audio in cubase sx, but i'm not getting any audio in.
When I record using Sound forge, there's no problem.

I did everything which is needed in KX DSP routing charts by the document pasted in the forum ( besides the ac 97 icon thing since i don't have an ac 97 icon, maybe because i have EMU APS ).

all my inputs are enabled in ASIO Multimedia setup.

Anyone has any idea what may be the problem ?

Thanks in advance.

Recording audio in Cubase

Connect FX0 & FX1to the ASIO inputs you want to use in DSP and then enable them in Cubase. Works for me, randy

If you want low latency don't use ASIO Multimedia drivers, but KX ASIO drivers. You can select it from inside cubase. You'll have latency as low as 2 ms available.

Connect prolog's 0 and 1 to epilog's ASIO 0 and 1 at KX DSP window, turn AC97 volumes up in the mixer and select LINE IN as AC97 source in AC97 page.

EMU APS doesn't have an AC97 codec. But that is good because AC97 codec is really noisy. You have an i2s codec, which is much better. Turn that volume up in kx mixer and connect the i2s output in prolog to an asio input in epilog.

I don't have an APS so I suppose I can't help you much. You probably do have the FX object in the KX DSP windows. FX is not related to effects. They are the internal outputs of the soundcard. Try connecting the first two FX outputs do Epilog's ASIO 0 and 1 and see if it works out.

May be...

Connecting all Prolog buss to Epilog (asio 0,1, e t.c.) In Cubase go to Device - VST Inputs and turn on all of this. Then add audio tracks (in each asio bus), turn on tracks monitors and looking...

i am using an e-mu aps with cubase 5.1 with the kx drivers ,in the kx dsp drag the connections from prolog 7/8 to epilog 14/15 this should enable recording also check that the volumes are up and the mutes are off in the kx mixer. my system has never worked better since i installed the kx drivers. a big thank you to the kx team, keep up the good work.
